Physical Therapist / Owner

Kim was born and raised in Thibodaux by Gibbs and Janet Robichaux. She is married to Jay Robichaux and loves spending time as a family with Dylan and Ryan. Kim is a graduate of E. D. White Catholic High School where she enjoyed playing soccer and softball. She received a Bachelor of Science in Biology: Pre-Physical Therapy from Nicholls State University where she also received the award for "Outstanding Achievement in Pre-Physical Therapy." Kim then went on to receive her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from LSU Health Sciences Center - Shreveport in 2015 where she also received the "Chancellor's Award" for outstanding Allied Health student in scholarship and research. Kim has known that she wanted to be a physical therapist since she was in physical therapy herself at 16. Her passion for helping people in her community has only grown over the years, and she strives to provide the people of her hometown with high quality care that they can count on to get them back to fully enjoying their lives. Kim learned to love and embrace Thibodaux and all its people from her grandfather, Gibbens Robichaux, and she hopes to give back to this special community in a way that will make him proud.

Kim has received several additional certifications:

  • CSCS: She is now a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association) which has enabled her to efficiently program high school and youth workout programs to improve strength, flexibility, and overall performance in sports. We offer Sports Performance Camps at various times throughout the year.

  • CRGA: Kim is a Certified Running Gait Analyst. We have the only 3D Trace Running Analysis Machine in the state. Kim is able to assess an athlete's running mechanics through the 3D Analysis and correct mechanical flaws, as well as address necessary strengthening and flexibility training as needed per patient. More information can be found under the "3D Running Analysis" tab of our website.

  • Cert-CMFA: Kim has completed training to become Certified in the Clinical Management of Fitness Athletes. Her training is geared towards assessing mechanics of lifts, such as squat, deadlift, power clean, bench press, clean and jerk, pull-ups, among others, with slow motion analysis in order to improve mechanics, improve efficiency, and decrease risk for injury. Her training has also enabled her to provide accessory programming to address muscle imbalances and/or mechanical problems, as well as modifying programming to assist patients in returning from injury to weight lifting as soon as possible.

  • Certified Dry Needling Provider: Kim is a certified dry needling provider. Our dry needling section of the website under the "Treatment Options" tab holds additional information regarding dry needling and the excellent benefits. She has used this technique to help an abundance of patients decrease pain and improve their overall function.

  • LSVT BIG: Kim has completed the LSVT Big certification for the treatment of patients diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. She has also teamed up with "Speech and Feeding Therapy" who provides SPEAK OUT treatment for patients with Parkinson's disease. Both programs have been heavily researched to show excellent results in this population, and the combination of speech and physical therapy has proven to be even more beneficial.
